The Concept of Knowledge
On the 4th December, while watching His Majesty the King’s annual speech broadcasted on national television to the government of Thailand (of the time) and His royal audience, His Majesty proposed a solution to the immediate political crisis which He recommended to solve the underlining problem, by saying, we must have the knowledge and understanding of the subject and if we did not understand or know the way around it, we should ask those who are knowledgeable and who are in authority. Although He had served the country for over 60 years, He would seek advice from others in order not to err when He had difficulties finding a solution. Therefore, the sculptures are based on the concept of His Royal annual speech which I have given the title as “Knowledge”.
In order to gain knowledge and perception, we need to use all our senses of hearing, touching, seeing etc. whether in old fashion or modern hi-tech forms, thus fusing these senses, would help attain success and thus reach our goal.
Knowledge has been around since the beginning of time whether from known or unknown sources, only if asked we accumulate the answer.
